Tire Rotation

Rotation changes tire positions where the vehicle and tire setup allow it. Different front and rear sizes can limit the available pattern.

Rotation can help reduce irregular tire wear when it is recommended for the vehicle. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions for the interval and pattern; some tire setups cannot be rotated.

When requesting a visit, include the mileage and last rotation date if known. Mention recent tire replacement, different front and rear tire sizes, or a change in ride or steering so those concerns can be discussed separately.

Signs that bring vehicles in

  • The vehicle or tire manufacturer's rotation interval has arrived
  • Front tires wearing noticeably faster than the rear
  • A maintenance reminder tied to rotation
  • Growing road noise from one corner

What the visit involves

  • Review of the vehicle’s tire sizes, fitment and applicable rotation instructions
  • Tread-wear observations and inflation-pressure requirements
  • Rotation where permitted, with abnormal wear or damage raised separately

Diagnosis before authorization

A request does not guarantee a specific diagnosis, price or completion time. The shop confirms the appointment, explains findings and obtains authorization before repair work moves forward.

Common questions

Can all four tires always be moved to any position?

No. Different front and rear sizes, directional tires and vehicle instructions can restrict the pattern or whether rotation is possible. The existing setup is checked before moving the tires.

Will rotating the tires fix pulling or a vibration?

Rotation does not correct alignment, a damaged tire or wheel imbalance. Mention those symptoms so they can be evaluated rather than assuming routine rotation is the complete solution.
