Radiator Replacement
An overheating engine needs the cause identified. A radiator, fan, hose or circulation fault can produce overlapping symptoms.
The radiator transfers heat from engine coolant to the surrounding air. A leak, physical damage or restricted heat transfer can affect cooling, but a temperature warning can also involve other components.
NOFO checks the reported condition before recommending radiator replacement. Share when the temperature rises and whether coolant has been added. If the engine overheats, stop safely and follow the vehicle manual; do not open the cooling system while it is hot.
Signs that bring vehicles in
- Temperature readings that climb in traffic or on hills
- Coolant puddles or staining at the front of the vehicle
- A crusty, leaking or physically damaged core
- The heater losing output when idling
What the visit involves
- Inspection of the reported leak or temperature concern
- Assessment of the radiator and relevant cooling-system components
- A replacement and coolant-service scope explained if radiator repair is required
Diagnosis before authorization
A request does not guarantee a specific diagnosis, price or completion time. The shop confirms the appointment, explains findings and obtains authorization before repair work moves forward.
Common questions
Does overheating in traffic mean I need a radiator?
Not necessarily. Airflow, fan operation and other cooling conditions can affect temperature at low speed. Describe how it behaves in traffic and on the road so the checks address the actual pattern.
Should I include previous coolant additions in my request?
Yes. The amount, frequency and product used are helpful details. Repeated top-ups suggest a concern that needs investigation, even if you have not noticed a puddle.
