Headlight Assembly Replacement

A dim lamp, damaged housing and cloudy outer lens are different problems. Identify the cause before deciding on a complete headlight assembly.

A headlight assembly supports the optics, sealing and mounting that help the lamp illuminate the road correctly. Damage, persistent water intrusion or a broken adjustment mechanism can require more than a new bulb.

NOFO reviews the symptom and the vehicle’s lighting equipment before proposing a replacement. A lighting fault can instead involve a bulb, control unit or wiring; surface haze may be a restoration concern. Fitment, aiming and any applicable setup requirements are part of planning the repair.

Signs that bring vehicles in

  • A housing that is cracked, fogged or holds water
  • Aim that cannot be corrected or blinds oncoming traffic
  • Repeated bulb failures in one side
  • Tabs and mounts broken by impact or age

What the visit involves

  • Assessment of housing condition, mounts and the reported lighting problem
  • Confirmation of the appropriate assembly for the vehicle’s lighting equipment
  • Discussion of aiming or setup requirements and any related electrical work

Diagnosis before authorization

A request does not guarantee a specific diagnosis, price or completion time. The shop confirms the appointment, explains findings and obtains authorization before repair work moves forward.

Common questions

Can restoration fix a cracked or water-filled housing?

Restoration addresses the outer lens surface. It does not repair broken mounts, a cracked housing or internal electrical damage. Those findings need a separate assessment before choosing the repair.

Does every headlight use the same replacement assembly?

No. Equipment and lighting options can differ even within one model year. Supply the vehicle details and any previous lighting modifications so the correct fitment and setup can be checked.
